Oldenburg: International Research and Teaching Location
Oldenburg is gaining in attraction as an international research and teaching location. The University of Oldenburg is an excellent example. It offers a number of international graduate courses and cooperates with 200 universities in more than 58 countries.
The Jade University of Applied Sciences collaborates with a number of different institutions on research and teaching projects, and has 90 partnerships in more than 30 countries. The successful "European Civil Engineering Management" course has been offered together with 12 partner universities in Oldenburg since 1992.
International Study Programmes
The University of Oldenburg and the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen already signed a cooperation agreement in 1980. One result of their collaboration, in which the University of Bremen is also involved, is the Hanse Law School, an international law studies programme. Internationally recognised qualifications as Bachelor und Master of Comparative and European Law, which focuses on comparative law in the European, German and Dutch systems and also common law, which is particularly important for commercial law in everyday practice. The successful Hanse Law School offers a graduate law course which is unique in the European university landscape.
