The Oldenburg Business Development Department has joined forces with companies, universities and institutes to create six networks for the promotion of selected regional growth sectors: The  Oldenburg Energy Cluster OLEC e.V. focusing on renewable energies, the Oldenburg Environmental Technology Network UNO, the Automotive Supplier Network Automotive Nordwest, the Initiative medienfelder for the regional media and IT sector and Immobilienkreis Oldenburg and Oldenburger Baukompetenz, the networks for the construction and real estate sector.
